European Standard EN124 Pressure Grade D400 Cast Iron Round Manhole Cover

This high-quality cast iron manhole cover meets EN124 standards with D400 pressure rating, designed for durability and heavy-duty performance in municipal and industrial applications.

Installation Process (Municipal Road Application)

1. Construction Preparation

Materials and tools: D400 round cast iron manhole cover, manhole ring, C25+ grade concrete, reinforcement bars (if required), level, vibrator, cutter, wrench
Site survey: Verify well opening dimensions, clear debris, check wellbore flatness/verticality. For soft foundations, use graded gravel + medium coarse sand (compaction density ≥95%)

2. Foundation Treatment & Frame Installation

Frame positioning: Align frame edges with well opening, level within ≤2mm tolerance
Concrete pouring: C25 concrete (width ≥300mm, thickness ≥150mm) around frame with vibration compaction
Anchor bars: Use "U"/"L"-shaped threaded bars (diameter ≥12mm) in frame reserved holes
Elevation control: Use cross-method measurement for precise road surface alignment

3. Cover Installation & Fixation

Placement: Install after concrete curing (7 days minimum), ensure proper fit without gaps
Security: Tighten bolts or install special locks to prevent movement/theft

4. Final Inspection & Acceptance

Water-tight test: For rainwater/sewage wells, test at upstream pipe top + 2m head (seepage ≤0.0046×D)
Pavement restoration: Match surrounding surface (asphalt or concrete) for smooth transition
Final check: Verify no looseness, abnormal sounds, and proper load-bearing capacity
