Working Principle of the Butterfly Check Valve

When medium flows through the valve body channel, the medium pressure exceeds the spring force, pushing the two butterfly plates open to allow flow. When flow stops, the spring force resets the plates, closing the valve and preventing backflow. Also known as a double-flap check valve, it features wear-resistant welded sealing surfaces or rubber lining for broad application and reliable sealing. This automatic valve requires no manual operation and is commonly used in pure pipelines, industrial, environmental, water treatment, and high-rise building water supply systems to prevent reverse medium flow.
